She stared at the sky threatening to rain and said, I know how you feel. Except, you’re allowed to cry and I’m not. They’ll tell me to be brave, but I just can’t. We planted trees on Saturday and this makes me so happy. They are the first trees on my property and the first trees that have ever been mine. And trees are magical to me.
