Hi friends! I haven’t been posting much this month and I actually miss my small corner of the internet. I have hand written posts, I have taken photos to post, I have saved articles I want to reference is posts, but I haven’t actually sat down to write a post.
First, we closed on a new house last Friday. Woohoo! It’s not a far move from where I currently live, but it’s been just as crazy. We have a one week layover before we have to be out of my current house so we’re trying to get the new house painted and re-carpeted before we move over. Picking a paint color literally came down to the last second and I learned an important lesson… always check the lid before shaking a paint can.
Carpet, on the other hand, has been picked for a while but the carpet guy doesn’t have an installer at the moment (he’s on vacation) so we may end up with no carpet. Haha, jk, but we might not be able to move in on time so we might be living in the garage.
Fun fact: tearing up carpet isn’t that bad. BUT after 200 sq feet, your fingers will feel raw and carpet burned. Wear gloves.
The second reason I’ve been away from the blogosphere is because I’ve been working on my current WIP. It’s nearly to a point where I now need outside help to polish it. I’m trying to have it ready to send out for #pitchwars and try my luck at landing a Mentor. I’d be so excited! This means that any moment I’m not packing (which really I should be packing every moment) I’m writing or reading my book. By the way, I love the story. It makes me squeal with delight. Of the three I’ve written, this is by far my favorite.
There you have it. I hope to be back to normal posting soon. I have some book reviews to post and some book tags to fill out. One of these days in the near-ish future I’ll scream that enough is enough and I’ll lock myself in a room with my computer and blog post after post. But until that day, you get sporadic.
How’s your July going?
P.s. For my One Direction fans, did you seen Niall’s tour info? I’m excited for more music from him. And Louis is coming out with stuff soon. And Liam’s second song…thoughts?
