Well, lucky me, I was tagged by the creators! Angelica and Rosie at TheBookCoverGirls are some of my favorite bloggers!
Batman: You favorite anti-hero
Angelica picked Kaz Brekker and I have to absolutely agree. Is he good? Is he bad? He’s both and I love him. He’s one of my favorite characters of all time.
Aquaman: A book or character that turned out to be better than you expected (because let’s be real, we did not expect Khal Drogo to make Aquaman cool)
I had read books by this author before and didn’t like them at all. I know you have to be mean to your characters and make them struggle, but sheesh, she goes overboard in a few of her books. But this one came recommended and, I love Sara Eden, so I checked this book out from the library. And I LOVED it. I laughed and swooned through the whole book. Total surprise.
Wonder Woman: Most badass female character (not necessarily in a physical sense)
Angelica and Rosie picked Inej (six of crows) and Aelin (Throne of Glass) and I can’t argue those at all. They are some of my favorite characters. And in a genre where many female characters are written as weak and needy, the Aelin’s are few and far between. So, I”m going to try and find a different one…
Turns out, finding a Wonder Woman character wasn’t that hard.
Lucy Hutton from the Hating Game is short, firey, and opinionated. And she yells at Mr. Templeman, putting him in his place. She’s pretty awesome.
Paisley Bell wants to be a sheriff. I mean THE SHERIFF of Savage Wells. And she can legit out-shoot any of the men.
And for a YA heroine, Avery West… yes she makes stupid decisions along the way, but through the whole series, she has to do some crazy stuff. And I love this trilogy.
Cyborg: Favorite science fiction novel
I don’t read a ton in the Sci-Fi genre but I really enjoyed Illuminae by Amie Kauffman. Like, REALLY enjoyed it.
The Flash: A book you sped through
I totally sped through this. Like, reading in the closet because my hubby wants to sleep but I can’t put it down.
Superman: Saddest character death (although we all know there’s no way Superman is going to stay dead)
*SPOILER* How can I answer this without spoiling something? This book is a few years old so I’m not counting it as spoiling. Nikolai Karimov… I almost cried at his death. I can’t even bear to read book two because, even though I’m sure it’ll fix my broken heart, I can’t bear to relive his death.
