I absolutely love this time of year. I love the lights, the Christmas trees, the carols, the cold weather… I love it all! But the one thing I love most are traditions. I’m a bit of a stickler when it comes to traditions, and my family has several we look forward to every year. For starters, we always bake cookies on the days leading up to Christmas and then deliver them to friends and neighbors. It’s not the holiday season without a smorgasbord of baked sugary treats!
The last tradition I’ll share with you is our Advent Calendar. Each day of December, my boys open one of the doors to find a piece of candy and a piece of paper with instructions on what we have to do that day. It might be unwrap a present, bake cookies, watch a holiday movie, read a certain scripture, sing a carol, read a Christmas story, etc. It helps keep the spirit of the season alive throughout the entire month, and my kids love this tradition.
Oh! And if you’re looking for holiday gift ideas, be sure to grab a copy of Catalyst, the first book in the Deception Game series. It’s FREE right now for a limited time!

Thanks for stopping by! What are some of your favorite holiday traditions? 🙂
