I have read a few of your February wrap-ups and you’ve read lots of books and written lots of reviews and I’m totally jealous. I didn’t get to read that much. But here’s what I did get to do:
Parties: I hosted and planned a lot of parties. Two birthday parties, a book club (not really a party but I hosted it) and an Oscars Party (which was TOTALLY awesome BTW)
Just a bit on my Oscars Party… 15 couples, all dressed as a movie musical of their choice, 6 couples performed a skit from their movie. We had an awesome rendition of You’re the One That I Want from Grease, Sieze the Day from Newsies, and even a performance of Music of the Night from Phantom of the Opera. My hubby and I did a skit from La La Land. We danced in the moonlight to A Lovely Night and it was my favorite.
Dog: I got a dog! And at Christmas I was looking for a small lap dog that would follow me around the house and keep my kids company. Instead, we ended up with a 4 month old Weimaraner that is rather big… and will just get bigger.
Basketball: We finished the home games for college basketball. No more Thursday and Saturday night date nights. And no more Tuesday and Thursday night 2nd grade basketball games. (woohoo…shhh, don’t tell)
Books: I listened to almost all of book two in the Ember in the Ashes series… yep, almost all of it. I think I had 1-1.5 hours or less left in the book and it ran out of time before it returned to the online library. So then I downloaded the e-book and have yet to finish it. I even left off in the middle of a crucial point. But that’s how much I read in Feb.
I also listened to part of The Crown’s Game… again. I do enjoy this book.
And that’s it in the book department. Yikes. Here’s to a better March.
Oh, March is already starting better. I’m reading Caraval as part of the March Read-along. You can too. Join us!
