Hello there everyone! I have recently been tagged by The Book Cover Girls to do this Rapid-Fire Book Tag. I love doing these because it’s a fun way to get to know other bloggers.
Rapid Fire Book Tag
Ebooks or Physical Books?
Physical for sure. I rarely read eBooks. I’d rather do an audiobook than an eBook.
Paperback or Hardcover?
I prefer hardcover but I’d take a paperback too.
Online or in-store book shopping?
Well, online is way cheaper :/ but you can’t beat walking around a bookstore. So I tend to buy more online but I love in store shopping better.
Trilogies or series?
Trilogies, I suppose. I love stand-alone best. But I tend to get bored with series and it takes an amazing author to keep up a good story line through the whole series.
Heroes or villains?
Heroes! *swoon* Heroes are usually the love interest and I’m all about the romance in a story.
A book you want everyone to read?
These Is My Words by Nancy Turner
Talk about a romantic storyline. And spirit. And spunk. And gumption. Yes this book as it all.
Recommend an underrated book:
What You Always Wanted by Kristin Rae. It’s one of those quick, adorable reads.
The last book you finished?
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I’m in the middle of my re-reading of the HP books.
Weirdest thing you used as a bookmark?
A clean diaper… such is the life of a mother 🙂
Used books, yes or no?
I like OLD used books for decoration but I don’t typically buy used books to read.
Top three favorite genres?
YA Contemporary Romance
YA *light* fantasy (light being the key word)
Adult Sweet Romance
Borrow or buy?
Borrow and then Buy! I try to get books from the library first and then buy it if I enjoyed reading it.
Characters or plot?
Characters and more Characters! I could almost care less about plot as long as I love the Characters.
Well, that’s kinda a lie. It needs to have good plot too. I hate when there are glaring plot holes, but I’m definitely all about character.
Long or short book?
Eh, If it’s a good book then long doesn’t feel long. Short can be too rushed. So I like them either as long as they are finished well.
Long or short chapters?
Short. I like to feel like I”m getting somewhere in a book. 40 page chapters make me feel like I’m running in a swimming pool.
Name the first three books you think of.
To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
Girl Against the Universe by Paula Stokes
Books that make you laugh or cry?
Laugh… I won’t pick up a book if I know it will make me cry. And when I eventually do pick up the book, it’s year after thinking about it. I have to prepare myself for those.
Our world or fictional worlds?
Our World… I like to see that happiness can be found in our world. Hence all the contemporary romance stuff.
Audiobooks: yes or no?
A year ago I might have said maybe but I’m all about the audiobook. There are some amazing voices out there and they can totally make or break a book. Find the books with interesting readers.
Do you ever judge a book by its cover?
Yep, but usually in favor of the book. I love to walk around the book store and choose the one book I’d pick based on the cover. There are lovely covers out there.
This is a book I am definitely judging by its cover. I can’t wait to read it. Click HERE to find out about the read-along for this book.
Book to movie or book to TV adaptation?
Movie… I’m not sure if I’ve watched too many book to TV adaptations.
Series or standalone?
Refer back to the other question… Standalone. I don’t mind books that have more in the series but are stand alone books as well, but I feel like it’s hard to keep a series going. Besides, I hate waiting for the next book.
For this I am tagging:

There is no obligation to do the tag, it’s just for fun!
